Metal 1on1 Reviews
Dracena and their full-lengths 'Infernal Damnation'
& 'Cursed to the Night'
FFO: Megadeth, Iron Maiden, Manowar, Accept, Darkthrone
Genre(s): Heavy Death Metal
Albums: Infernal Damnation & Cursed to the Night
Home: Sweden (Gothenburg/Stockholm)
𝕾𝖎𝖓 𝖑: 𝕲𝖚𝖎𝖙𝖆𝖗 & 𝕭𝖆𝖘𝖘: Mixing classic heavy metal riffing and song structures, that is a fusion of power-thrash with chunky old-school death metal undertone & aggressive elements
𝕾𝖎𝖓 𝖑𝖑: 𝖁𝖔𝖈𝖆𝖑𝖘: Mia’s vocal range is unique that can be (a mixture of) snarling/harsh/rasped and/or death growls and black metal shrieks ... that gives her voice a cold, dark tone and that sends shivers down your spine!!
𝕾𝖎𝖓 𝖑𝖑𝖑: 𝕯𝖗𝖚𝖒𝖘: With a marriage of classic [fast] heavy metal drum rhythming that is mixed with brutal (thundering) blast-beasts.
𝕾𝖎𝖓 𝖑𝖁: 𝕺𝖛𝖊𝖗𝖆𝖑𝖑: Dracena is a pure heavy metal (one-female act), that is filled with beautiful brutal melodic riffs, that are heavy ... faster in tone, sinister dark atmosphere of bloodlust and death, which also are very powerful, dark, with flashy classic metal solos -- that are, full of harmonies & tempo changes‼
Playing a Heavy Death Metal style that once contained only female members, after few changes within the band, only original member (Mia Larsson) remaining, taking over the bass, guitars, vocals, with a hired drummer
𝕾𝖎𝖓 𝖁: 𝕬𝖗𝖙𝖜𝖔𝖗𝖐: I love both of the artwork, that has been used, Dracena emerged from the icy cold realm of Sweden, these pictures, gives a feel of Dracena own Interpretation of hell and demons
𝕾𝖎𝖓 𝖁𝖑: 𝕺𝖚𝖙𝖘𝖙𝖆𝖓𝖉𝖎𝖓𝖌: With two full-lengths of a total of sixteen tracks, are outstanding, in their own way
𝕾𝖎𝖓 𝖁𝖑𝖑: 𝕯𝖎𝖘𝖑𝖎𝖐𝖊: none !!!
Mia Larsson (vocals, guitars, bass)
